Happy 2 Months!

Dear Will,
It has taken me a couple of weeks to write this post as few words describe the love that has manifested over this last month.  This month you have truly become our son, our little boy, our little man and you have filled our hearts with so much joy.  So much joy that there are days that it feels as though my heart is going to burst, to say we are obsessed with you would be an understatement.  You are our everything and while I thought my life had purpose before your arrival it is clear to me that it does now, being your mom means more to me than anything.

This month you have become so very alert!  You are really looking around at everything and you can follow us with your eyes.  You recognize my voice from others and it seems that my voice can sooth you when you are fussy or in someone else's arms.  You can also recognize your daddy's voice and I can already tell that you are going to love his goofiness and entertainment.

You have also developed a love for music and dance.  We play the Disney Pandora station quite frequently now and dance around the kitchen as a family almost nightly.  You love the music and the movement.  Nightly dances in the kitchen were something your dad and I did before you were born and I love that you enjoy them as well, I am hoping we can keep this little family tradition alive for many years.

We had your 2 month appointment and the doctor said you are a 'Very Strong' boy.  You are holding your head up very well and you are pushing yourself up into a "crawling" position when laid on your belly.  Your head and neck control is pretty amazing to watch actually.  You look like such a big boy when you do it, but are still so small in size.

Your weight was 8.0 pounds even at the doctors and length is 20.75 inches.  You have grown out of 2 of your newborn outfits and a few others are getting tight.  You are a great sleeper for your size and age.  You go to bed around 10 or 10:30 and sleep for about 3-4 hours, you wake up and eat and then go back to sleep for another 3-4 hours.  You nap throughout the day, sometimes taking 30 minute naps other times taking 2 hour naps it is fairly inconsistent but we are just thankful that you are sleeping.  You are also a big eater.  While breastfeeding is not very successful, you are a pro-bottle eater and are drinking anywhere from 22 to 27 ounces per day and 2-3 ounces at a time.
