How is it that you are already 6 months old! It is so beyond cliche to talk about how much time flys when you have a child but it is oh so true. Your dad and I try to soak up every single moment with you and it still feels like your baby days have slipped away from us all too quickly. I think a big reason for this is how awesome of a baby you are and the resulting fun we have with you! 95% of the time you are happy. Now that may mean that we are bouncing you, singing to you, rocking you or even hanging you upside down, but you are happy! Your smile and your laughter melt our heart. Right now you have the cutest belly laugh which is part giggle and part grunting, thankfully we have captured it on video so we will never forget. You have also started squealing this past week and it cracks is right up! The squeals of delight happen most when you are jumping in your jumperoo or when daddy is tickling you. It is already so clear that daddy is the entertainer and mommy is the food and comfort to you. You are also starting to 'talk' to us. If we sit in front of you and chat you will talk right back! Of course neither of us understands what each other is saying but it does t matter..you love to chat :-)
Your absolute favorite thing right now is to jump in your jumperoo. You are still not quite tall enough to reach the floor so we keep books stacked beneath you so you can reach. You will play in your jumperoo for a good 15 minutes and laugh the entire time. You have a blast!
In the past 2 months you have had some rocky nights of sleep, some nights you just scream when we have tried putting you down, and I mean SCREAM yourself to tears. At this point mommy is the only person you want, when I am old and hard of hearing I will remember those screams and place a little blame on you :-)
We started feeding you solids this week but so far you are not at all interested. We started with bananas then apples then sweet potatoes and mangos, all of which you spit out and gave us the most disgusted, yet cute look. We are going to try again in a couple weeks.
Happy half-birthday little man, mommy and daddy love you!
